The Window Is Just a Window
A bit of news on the short story front. The horror-themed short story collection that I edit, A Window Into Abnormality, is getting revamped for the 2008 edition. First, we’re dropping the “Into Abnormality” part, as well as the “A,” so it will just be Window. It’s more convenient for everyone involved (all of us authors just refer to it by its first name, anyway, because we’re on a first name basis) and I think it captures the spirit that I tried to foster in Window. Imagine staring out of a window into the night, and feeling that there might be something out there, watching you, staring, and that it knows exactly where you are, who you are, standing there exposed in the light and heat that electricity gives you that is now just a spotlight for the predator to find you easier, and that predator can see through your skin and deep into the fear that grows in your heart with every beat.
Or something.
So Window 2008 is on, it’s go time, etc etc. As we approach its release, I’ll be posting some teasers and, most exciting, “Urgoth the Defiler” will be back online soon!
